Tim Tebow Will Speak at Donald Trump's Convention

Time Tebow and other middling sports celebrities will speak at the Republican National Convention.

It turns out Tim Tebow and Tom Brady have a bit more in common than Unlikely Starting Quarterbacks Come Week 1 of the NFL Season: they're both big Trump guys! The New York Times got a hold of Trump's tentative lineup for the four-day Republican National Convention, and it's a who's who of sorta famous sports people, including UFC president Dana White and golfer Natalie Gulbis. Interestingly, Trump invited the former Gators star despite the story floating around concerning a signed Tebow helmet and jersey he purchased at a charity auction with money from his own charity.

Tebow will be speaking on the fourth day—when God created the heavens and stars—along with shadow litigator Peter Thiel, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr., among others. Tom Brady is not on the list, but Trump's people told the Times that the list is fluid and could grow. Brady has said in the past that he considers Trump to be a "good friend" and that he "support[s] all of his friends," but he also probably wants to steer clear of actual politics, not to mention he's got bigger fish to fry right now.

As for Tebow, he's obviously going to appeal to the Republican's conservative base and is probably going to use this as a dry run for a possible stint in politics, which he has previously described as an "intriguing" possibility for himself.
