Hear Bon Iver Play Four Songs on ‘A Prairie Home Companion’

Justin Vernon played stripped-back versions of “___ 45 ___,”“#29 Strafford APTS,” “715 - CR∑∑KS,” and “22 (OVER S∞∞N)” on the MPR show.

Justin Vernon was the headline guest on the permanently Garrison Keillor-less MPR show A Prairie Home Companion yesterday. He played a stripped-down “___ 45 ___,” backed only by a piano and saxophonist Mike Lewis, before moving into a folksy acoustic version of “#29 Strafford APTS” with the house band. He came back later to close the set out with a more recognizable version of “715 - CR∑∑KS” and rangey, guitar-led “22 (OVER S∞∞N).” You can listen to the whole set here. The first two songs come in at 46:00, the last two come in around 1:47:30.
