Blur were my favourite band growing up. Even though I was pretty sure I wasn’t gay I’d sit about looking at my homo-erotic Blur posters and singing ‚ÄòResigned’ sadly ‚Äì sad because I was completely unresigned to never being able to be in that band. They never did let me in the band, but in 1999 I saw them play, at Reading Festival, which was the next best thing. Now they’ve reformed, which is for England what it would be for America if Pavement reformed. To celebrate I spent the whole day watching old live clips and the VBS Soft Focus UK interview with Graham Coxon. It’s great. Jeopardise your career by doing the same tomorrow.ALEX MILLER
