David Bowie Makes The Most Catastrophic of Flops Tolerable

Earlier this year, VICE Films and Grolsch Film Works teamed up with the directors Harmony Korine, Alexey Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski to make a three-part film called The Fourth Dimension. Now, Grolsch Film Works have a new website where you can find out what they’ve been up to and read/watch interesting stuff about films. Every week we'll be plucking the highlights. This is that.

One of last year’s most talked about directors, Ben Wheatley (Kill List), has teamed up with comic mastermind Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) to bring you another hilarious British comedy, Sightseers. And guess what, we’re putting on an exclusive screening in central London on November 14th that YOU can win tickets to. Making a case for David Bowie’s genius has to be a definite example of Stating The Bleeding. But as an actor? Well, in a weird way, it just kind of works. Bowie’s otherworldly aura, and his ability to make even the plain ridiculous look like part of a well-thought out performance persona, means he gets away with Film Murder.

Sometimes skate videos just aren’t enough. What you need is a narrative, a well-shot film, none of that shaky hand-held camerawork by skaters who never went to film school.
