With Paris Design Week and New York Fashion Week causing the international aesthetic community to collectively max out their frequently flyer miles, it might be easy to overlook Madrid's upcoming art celebration, APERTURA. However, to do so would mean missing out on some of the best in contemporary Spanish art, in addition to global names branching out into the Iberian Penninsula. Organized annually by ARTE_MADRID to act as a celebration of arts and culture, from Septemober 19th to the 22nd events will be taking place throughout city, both day and night, with almost 50 contemporary art galleries inaugurating exhibitions.
