Month-Old Baby Concussed by Puck Thrown into Stands by P.K. Subban

Poor guy can't catch a break.

On Sunday, the Montreal Canadiens held an open practice as part of a fan appreciation event and at the end of the day, several players started throwing pucks over the glass as souvenirs to kids in the crowd. It's a fairly common sight at a hockey game but, unfortunately, P.K. Subban accidentally struck a one-month-old baby in the head with a puck, giving her a concussion.

The baby's mother, Valérie Meloche, posted the news in a message on Facebook, thanking the fans and workers who came to her aid.

"At the end, the players took the time to throw pucks at their young fans…Unfortunately, one of the fans who caught a puck thrown by P.K. Subban was just a month old — and she caught it with her head.

the baby was taken to Montreal Children's Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, but P.K. Subban can't catch a break. Days after his coach threw him under the bus because he lost an edge just inside the blue line, allowing Jarome Iginla to score the game-winner with about two-minutes left in the game, the poor guy manages to hit the tiniest of humans in the head with a hockey puck.

Several Canadiens players have already visited the mother and child, and Subban himself, who is something of a benefactor of the hospital, is reportedly excited to meet the family.
