Off the heels of her stunning upset via Holly Holm's foot to the face, Ronda Rousey is going to give live comedy a go. It was announced today that Rousey will host Saturday Night Live on January 23rd, along with musical guest Selena Gomez. Here's a fun sentence from USA Today: "Rousey will flex her acting chops she's developed via recent roles in Furious 7 and The Expendables 3. "

Much of the speculation into Rousey's loss to Holm, the one blemish on her fighting career, centered around her activities outside the octagon—including commercials, movies, and television appearances—rather than the specific matchup problems posed by her challenger, and surely this will do little to quiet that narrative. Still, odds are there will be a skit where she knocks out Donald Trump, so that's probably worth the headache of a stupid narrative.
