In Argentina, River Plate played arch rivals Boca Juniors in a friendly. The game featured five (5!) red cards and 40 fouls. Good times.

In the Australian Open, Wawrinka, Federer and Djokovic all advanced out of the 4th round. In the Women's draw, Serena Williams destroyed Margarita Gasparyan in straight sets. She will play Maria Sharapova in the quarters.

Djokovic's 4th rounder was not easy. He committed a number of unforced errors and, after the match, Djokovic told a heckler was "absolutely right" after the heckler told him not to hit any more drop shots.
