Warm Your Cold, Dead Heart With This Outrageous Marcel Ndjeng Goal

This goal might be the goal of the season in the Bundesliga and the season hasn't even started. And it's a second-division team.

Sure, it's a friendly in the 2. Bundesliga but this goal is already contender for goal of the season, and the season hasn't even started. It belongs to (recently relegated) Paderborn's Marcel Ndjeng and came during a 4-1 win over Bolton Wanderers. Bolton's attempts at a clearance were thwarted seemingly out of nowhere when Ndjeng stepped into a header and blasted a volley over the keeper's head from damn near midfield.

The fun starts around the 3:55 mark in the video below. Most goals from the match were greeted with polite applause, but this one was great with something like growing awe as the ball was struck, and increased as the ball travelled through the air and into the net. A nice little reward for attending a pre-season friendly in the second division of professional German soccer.
