The Argentine is making a statement at the close of the season.

Today's matchup between Arsenal and Manchester City would be top billing—and potentially league-deciding—in another year, but today merely makes for a battle for third place as the Premier League season comes to a close. Yes, Leicester has already clinched their spot as champions, but City's Sergio Aguero implores you to remember that he too exists, and boy does he.

After a series of City's bobbled attempts to send the ball in, Aguero found himself confronted with a tight corridor of defenders and a loose ball. He took a few seconds to let it settle, and took a magnificent strike to send the ball to the near post, with Arsenal keeper Petr Čech helplessly grasping to redeem himself. And it was left-footed, mind you. Aguero stands with an impressive 24 goals in 30 games—tied with Jamie Vardy at second for most goals on the season, and edging up on Harry Kane's 25. Hard to forget that.

UPDATE:

Good God, there's a gaping hole in Cech's near-post, because Kevin De Bruyne just wrecked it with this fantastic solo goal.

Cech's nightmares are going to be rich tonight.
