Reports out of France say the terrorists who attacked the Brussels airport had originally intended to attack the Euro Cup this summer, but changed their plans after one member was arrested. French police have asked their German neighbors for help with security during the tournament.

Sparta Rotterdam won the Dutch Eerste Divisie. This is cool. Sparta is the Netherlands' oldest soccer team. It's also a fierce rival of Feyenoord, which means more derbies.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson lost an 8,000 pound bet thanks to Masters winner Danny Willett. Ferguson took it well.

Speaking of dirty plays, is this the hardest foul ever?

At the beginning of the season, Claudio Ranieri and Gary Lineker (a Leicester legend) joked about Champions League qualification. Leicester City qualified last weekend.

And now some sad news: Joao Carvalho, a Portuguese MMA fighter, has died after being TKOed over the weekend by Charlie Ward in a fight organized by Total Extreme Fighting. Carvalho was rushed to the hospital after the fight and underwent emergency brain surgery.
