Turns Out Rex and Rob Ryan May Have Started a Fight After All

The Ryan Bros. got into a little brouhaha last weekend in Nashville, and initial accounts that someone poured a margarita on Rex appear to be incorrect.

When last we left the Rowdy Ryan Bros. Gang, the two former NFL coaches were in Nashville's Margaritaville enjoying some 'ritas on a lovely Sunday afternoon in between Stanley Cup Final games. Things took an aggressive turn, though, when the two were apparently accosted by another Jimmy Buffett patron. A short clip of the ordeal—captured mid-scuffle—emerged online, showing Rex shoving a guy, and Rob grabbing him by the throat.

According to the people on scene, the whole thing started when man in the blue shirt threw a margarita in Rex's face. TMZ, however, now has a new video that suggests otherwise.

As a gentleman croons Kenny Rogers' classic "The Gambler," a disagreement of sorts occurs between the guy in blue and Rob. Rex comes to his brother's aid and Rexily tells him to "get the fuck outta here." Rob then shoves him, and Rex—I think he was trying to do the whole "take your drink and beat it" move—gets up and shoves the guy while holding a 'rita. It spills on the guy and the woman who was sitting next to him. The video cuts away, but it seems like the video posted by @Jessica_Aronica picks up not long after.

On Wednesday, the guy in blue filed a complaint with the Nashville police department for misdemeanor assault, alleging that the Ryans attacked him unprovoked. No arrests were made, nor charges filed, but police are investigating the matter.

This probably could have all been avoided if the Ryan Bros. just knew when to walk away or, alternatively, knew when to run.
