Who is Majestico? Just a dude living in Nashville who's not afraid to get topless, wear a headdress made of plants and beads, and look stoic while being flanked by his babe crew. In a jungle. Who knew there were jungles in Tennessee.We like this guy. He's got a sense of humor, clearly, just peep his album trailer which involves a face off in a field, a hokey interpretation of martial arts, and some dudes dueling with sticks.
Majestico also makes good music, as evidenced by this new track "I Just Want To" which has a low-slung, psych-rock appeal that will find favor with fans of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and, it seems, Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes, who brought him on tour. This in turn meant Majestico seduced the Shakes' Boys & Girls producer Andrija Tokic into producing his debut. Sly devil.
