Former Utah State linebacker Torrey Green was charged with four counts of rape and one count of kidnapping yesterday, according to KUTV in Utah.

In September, Green, an undrafted free agent at the time, was released by the Atlanta Falcons after TMZ reported in August that he was a suspect in two separate rape investigations. In total, Green is being investigated in nine separate investigations, and the five charges currently being brought against him could result in life sentences.

Despite knowing about the allegations, Utah State allowed Green to finish out his career with the team.

The police report and KUTV go into depth about several accounts of Green's sexual assaults, including an incident that occurred on January 9, 2015, in which Green allegedly said to the victim, "You aren't the kinda girl that would report rape? Because that would ruin my career."

Green was arrested in California—he was born in Rubidoux—and will be extradited to Utah to face charges.
