In a great advertisement for the excitement of soccer, the Champions League, the world's premier club cup competition, featured two 0-0 draws last night. A draw was good enough to send Manchester City through to the quarterfinals for the first time in the club's history. Atletico Madrid overcame PSV on penalties.

France's Prime Minister said he thinks Karim Benzema shouldn't play for France because he sets a bad example, given the recent scandal surrounding his teammate Valbuena's sex tape and potential blackmail. (Benzema was recently cleared of charges.) Here's Benzema's response. It's in French, but I think the message is clear:
