Albany is going dancing for the third straight year after beating Stony Brook 51-50 in a thrilling finish to the America East conference tournament. Albany, trailing 49-48, fouled Stony Brook with just under 17 seconds left and Tre Puriefoy hit only the first of two free throws. Albany got the rebound and pushed up the court where Ray Sanders missed the first shot for the tie. But the ball was tipped back to Peter Hooley who drew all net for the game-winner with just over one second to go. Stony Brook led by as many as seven with just under two minutes left in the game and coughed up a shot at their first NCAA tournament appearance.
