Data wizards Sosolimited have just released their latest project called Semantic Sabotage, which allows you to create live typographic YouTube visualizations. The open source project, get the code from GitHub here, follows in the remixing footsteps of their previous work like last year's ReConstitution 2012, a web app that decontructed the presidential debates in real-time, or Overscan which remixes whatever's on TV.

"We took our style of live remixing and brought it to the web." say the collective. "With this toolkit you can create a typographic transformation of any YouTube video with captions."

Like their previous works, it has a sense of playfulness and fun tied in with the clever coding and technical skill. To use it firstly decide what type of visualization you'd like, you can choose from various styles like Big Words, Mad Lib, Plot Erosion, depending on your mood. You then grab a URL from YouTube, place it in the box at the top, hit enter, and watch it unfold.
