Former Broncos running back Montee Ball was arrested for substantial battery on Friday, according to Madison.com.Ball was with his girlfriend at Hampton Hotel and Suites in Madison, Wisconsin, when a 3:40 AM call came in to the police. According to the report, Ball's girlfriend claimed she was thrown into a table, and had a cut on her leg that required stitches. According to Madison.com:
Ball was picked up by the Broncos in 2013, where he played until getting waived this past season. He then signed with the New England Patriots as a member of the practice squad.Police described Ball as "very cooperative" throughout the arrest."The woman told police she had a dispute with her boyfriend," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain. "She said he put his hands on her, picked her up and threw her."
