Former Bronco Montee Ball Arrested for Battery Against His Girlfriend

He allegedly threw her against a table.

Former Broncos running back Montee Ball was arrested for substantial battery on Friday, according to Madison.com.

Ball was with his girlfriend at Hampton Hotel and Suites in Madison, Wisconsin, when a 3:40 AM call came in to the police. According to the report, Ball's girlfriend claimed she was thrown into a table, and had a cut on her leg that required stitches. According to Madison.com:

"The woman told police she had a dispute with her boyfriend," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain. "She said he put his hands on her, picked her up and threw her."

Ball was picked up by the Broncos in 2013, where he played until getting waived this past season. He then signed with the New England Patriots as a member of the practice squad.

Police described Ball as "very cooperative" throughout the arrest.
