The scenes in Lille come on the heels of clashes between England and Russia supporters, who rioted in the port city of Marseille, surrounding yesterday's match between the two teams. In the three days leading up to the match, England fans fought with French youth and Russian supporters in the streets, injuring many and bringing about upwards of 60 riot police.

The incidents in Marseille culminated in post-match violence, during which Russia supporters flooded into the England supporter section, causing a dangerous stampede in the stadium.

UEFA and France partnered together to put an alcohol ban on alcohol around all Euro 2016 venues and fan zones, Yahoo Sports reports. France's interior minister may even go so far as to ban the sale of alcohol in nine host cities for the day before and the day of matches, Reuters is reporting.
