The Premier League title edged a little closer to Leicester City over the weekend. Leicester destroyed Swansea 4-0, sending the Foxes 8 points clear at the top of the table. Tottenham has a chance to reduce that lead to 5 when the team takes on West Brom tonight.

Speaking of Leicester and Tottenham, the PFA awards were announced over the weekend, with gongs going to both teams' playmakers: Riyad Mahrez and Dele Alli, respectively.

Some craziness out of Turkey, where a fan jumped a barricade and assaulted an assistant referee at the end of Trabzonspor's 0 - thrashing at the hands of Fenerbahçe 4. Here's the clip. The assistant ref is standing just above the goal, along the endline. (H/T Reddit)

Juan Mata has said some interesting things about how pro athletes make too much money and the influence of business on sports is a detriment to the game of soccer.

In an unrelated interview, Darmstadt striker Sandro Wagner expressed the opposite opinion, telling Germany's BILD that players are underpaid.

Red Sox and Liverpool owner shit talking on Twitter. Divock refers to Divock Origi, the Liverpool striker who scored on and was then injured by Everton during the derby.

Christian Pulisic, the 17-year-old US international scored his second career goal for Borussia Dortmund over the weekend. He's the youngest player in league history to score two goals. Here it is:
