Thousands of house producers were influenced by New Jersey don Kerri Chandler, but only a select few can claim to be his protégé. Two of those lucky few, UK beatmakers Benson Herbert and Leo Picking, have pooled their talents to form the duo Voyeur, and in 2012, they debuted on Chandler's MadTech imprint. This month, they returned with the Rain Away EP, which bears all the hallmarks of a Chandler devotée: on "Gone Away" warm bass tones and moody jazz keys volley between blows from a kick drum and tidy hi-hat rhythms.
