Jamie Vardy Ban Extended Additional Game, Will Miss Potential Title-Clincher

The Foxes will play without Vardy again, but they could still clinch the title.

Jamie Vardy missed this week's 4-0 stomping of Swansea City because he had been sent off for a second yellow card after a blatant dive the previous week against West Ham. But the Football Association didn't stop there, it was just announced that Vardy will be banned an additional game, on Sunday against Manchester United at Old Trafford, for his conduct with referee Jon Moss immediately following the red card.

It's unclear what he said from the video, but reports are that Vardy called Moss a "fucking cunt." Vardy made an appearance before an independent regulatory committee earlier today to plead his case and apologize for his conduct, but it was not enough to avoid a further ban.

The timing could not be worse for Vardy and Leicester. With Tottenham Hotspur dropping today's match to West Brom, Leicester can win the Premier League title this weekend with a win over United. Although Leonardo Ulloa has flourished in Vardy's absence—netting two goals this week, and the equalizer after Vardy was sent off on April 17th—it never hurts to have a player with Vardy's nose for the goal on the field.
