Good morning, America. It's April 21st, 2016. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop every morning for more headlines from around the world.

The wrestler Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer, passed away early this morning. She shot to fame with the WWF wrestling promotion in the early 2000s but later struggled with depression and substance abuse. She was 45.

Disgraced former soccer player Ched Evans had his rape conviction quashed by a British appeals judge. I'm not totally sure how the system works in the UK, but thankfully we have VICE Sports UK to sort these matters out: "While the initial conviction has been quashed, Evans has not been found innocent of the rape charge. Rather, he will face a second trial in which the fresh evidence is heard."

Forbes released its list of World's Most Profitable Soccer Clubs. Manchester United is top, with $190 million in profits. The biggest surprise on the list is Schalke, which earned $67 million last year, which, according to Forbes, is more than Bayern Munich.

There were a bunch of league and cup matches across Europe last night. Some notable results:

  • In Spain, Barcelona beat Deportivo 8 (!) - 0. Suarez scored or assisted 7 of them.
  • In England, Liverpool destroyed arch nemesis Everton 4-0.
  • In Germany, Dortmund beat Hertha Berlin 3-0 in the Cup, setting up a final against Bayern Munich.
  • And in Italy, Francesco Totti came on late and scored with his first and second touch to lift Roma over Torino.

They lit the Olympic Flame for this summer's games in Brazil. All is not well, however, in Brazil. Will the Brazilians blow it out?

Long-time readers of this blog will know I am a fan—no, a connoisseur of photos in which large quantities of liquids are pored on athletes. Here we have Rougned Odor being doused in what I can only presume to be Snapple, given the Rangers' sponsorship setup.
