Bengals Fans Throw Garbage at Ben Roethlisberger as he Gets Carted Off Field

Fans started throwing things at Ben Roethlisberger as he was carted off.

Aside from Martavis Bryant's touchdown catch, things have been pretty ugly in Cincinnati. It's rainy and gross. A.J. McCarron is one of the quarterbacks. Guys are openly fighting each other without being penalized. A coach pulled a player's hair. Giovani Bernad took a huge hit to the helmet—he's been ruled out—and yet another scrum developed on the field. And now the Steelers may have lost Ben Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger took a huge hit on a sack by Vontaze Burfict, one of the most fired up guys on the Bengals, and had his shoulder driven hard into the ground. He's questionable to return. He was put on a cart and taken back to the locker room for x-rays, but on the way back, fans started throwing trash, including a beer can at him. According to Jim Nantz, they were also cheering as he was being taken off.

It's been a horrible game for Cincinnati, they're losing to division rivals at home in the playoffs and running out of time, and they think they're getting screwed by the refs. Fans started throwing things on the field when Bernard got knocked out because there was no penalty called on the hit, and it actually wound up being ruled a fumble and Pittsburgh recovery, so they are really on edge. It's raining, and they are probably 33 sheets to the wind. Regardless, this is a bad look.
