Chicago Punks Rad Payoff's New Video Is Disorienting in the Best Possible Way

Watch "Gender of My Animals" and let its quick cuts scramble your circuits.

Two years ago, we listed Rad Payoff as one of Chicago's punk bands worth watching. We trust that you've been watching them, yes? Like, following them home from their jobs, lurking through the bushes outside their windows, rifling through their trash cans, that sort of thing? Good, because you'll be pleased to know that they've got a new video out for "Gender of My Animals" that is snappy and disorienting. They describe the video as "'Freak On a Leash,' unleashed! But only in the best possible way." Uhhh… is there any other way to enjoy "Freak on a Leash"?

Rad Payoff, which touts members of Sass Dragons, is about to release Slow & Weird, which, true to its name, sees the band trying to diverge a bit from their razor-wire sound by splicing in some more dramatic elements. On "Gender of My Animals," though, Rad Payoff are still on their biting, break-neck flow.

Check out their video (which you may remember they likened to a Korn video) above. Slow & Weird is out on April 28 via Money Fire Records and you can pre-order it here.
