Bama Recovers Onside Kick, Sets Up 51-Yard Touchdown Pass, and then Gets 95-Yard Kickoff Return for TD

Bama may have sealed the deal here.

Nick Saban is known for a lot of things — for being the best coach in the country and getting the best players in the country. But mostly, he's known for wearing opponents down and not getting cute.

So in the fourth quarter of the National Championship, Saban did the most un-Saban-like thing possible with a fake onside kick.

It worked—despite coming in as the 85th ranked special teams unit—and then two plays later, the Crimson Tide were in the endzone to take the lead.

It wasn't your typical Nick Saban, but that might have just won him his fifth National Championship. And if that didn't, this 95-yard kickoff return from Kenyan Drake almost certainly did.
