A violent altercation was caught on video at the Perth stop of the Good Life music festival in Australia over the weekend. In the clip, a male attendee is seen scuffling with a security guard on the ground when another assailant steps up and kicks the guard in the head. As the visibly dazed guard is slumped over in the grass, both of the men run away into the crowd of gathered bystanders. Some in the surrounding group then try to aid the fallen man.

The guard was taken to a hospital for assessment and later released, while his attacker was eventually identified and arrested, according to Yahoo News. So-called "coward punches" (or in this case, coward kicks) have been a growing concern in Australia, where victims are attacked by surprise from behind, The Telegraph reported.

The festival released this statement in the aftermath of the incident:

The safety of Good Life attendees and staff is our highest priority. Promoters do not condone violence of any kind, and take these issues extremely seriously.

Following the incident on site, the security guard in question was immediately attended to by medical teams and taken to hospital by an on-site ambulance for assessment. He was discharged a few hours later. Good Life promoters will continue to monitor his well-being. The incident is being investigated by the Police.

To respect the privacy of the security guard, no further comments will be made.

Good Life had dates in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. This year's lineup included ASAP Rocky, DVBBS, RL Grime, and Jeremih.
