Cornwall in August is more than just traffic jams on country roads, surfboards and ice cream. Over the weekend it emerged that a fishing trawler packed full of cocaine was seized by the authorities on Thursday, in what is being hailed as "one of the most significant drugs seizures ever made in the UK."

The trawler was intercepted near Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall, with the police estimating the street value of the seized cocaine at £80m. Three men are being held in custody and will appear in court next month.

Writing in The Observer, Khan reckoned that Labour under Corbyn stands little chance of winning the next UK general election. It's a signification intervention, since Khan's mayoral election win this year was a major boost for Labour, and he's has previously remained neutral in the debate over the party leadership. However, Corbyn supporters have hit back, arguing that it was the leader's popularity with voters that secured the mayoral victory earlier this year.

A Personal Journey

She tagged the Irish Prime Minister in each of her tweets

On Saturday morning, an anonymous women and her friend live-tweeted a journey they'd taken to England, in order for one of them to legally undergo an abortion. Ireland has strict anti-abortion laws, forcing thousands of Irish women to travel to neighbouring countries each year to access the procedure.

Posting a series of photos inside waiting rooms and aboard public transport, the women tagged Enda Kenny, the Irish Prime Minister, in each tweet. His government are coming under growing pressure to enact changes to the country's constitution, which criminalises abortion. Earlier this year, the UN called for an overhaul of the law, which it said violates women's human rights.

Kenny has resisted pressure to call a referendum on changing abortion laws, the only legal route to changing the country's constitution.
