South Dakota State Comes Up With the Sneakiness For Hidden Man Play and TD

South Dakota State sees your boredom and wants to remind you what it's all about: trick plays.

Today is not an exciting day for college football. That is, unless you're real gung-ho about Navy and Army for traditional reasons—because let's face it: both teams have always been mediocre at best. But South Dakota State sees your boredom and wants to remind you what it's all about: trick plays.

South Dakota State is going up against North Dakota State in their own rivalry today, and on first and goal, they decided "fuck it—why not?" So they went for something that must have been drawn up during a water cooler break at a mid-summer practice, and found the smallest dude on their team—in this case, running back Brady Mengarelli—and hid him in the shuffle.

It's has a kind of strange effect because the offensive line is all standing upright, and the defensive line doesn't really know how to read it. Well, the height likely gave them decent visual coverage because when the QB slips Mengarelli the ball, he just tucks along the line—undetected until it's too late—and finds himself in the end zone. Hands raised—everyone feels good about this one (well, except for North Dakota State, but whatever). Trick plays all day, please.
