Yeah… no—is pretty much what an Oklahoma City steakhouse owner told Kevin Durant when KD asked to book the entire restaurant, according to USA TODAY Sports. It just would have been a little bit… awkward, is all.

Mahogany Steakhouse, just a block from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown OKC, caught word that Durant was trying to book the restaurant after Durant's new Warriors take on his former Thunder tonight, but owner Dave Osborn wanted none of that. To the point that he was willing to lose upwards of $35,000—the figure Osborn said he was promised by KD's people.

Osborn made it seem like it was just a business decision—that he didn't want to turn a hundred or so people away at the door. Not to mention that Thunder players frequent the place—Russell Westbrook and Victor Oladipo apparently have two rooms unofficially reserved for them every game night.

But Osborn's decision also mighta been a not-so-subtle dig.

From USA TODAY:

"We thought about it," Osborn told USA TODAY Sports while sitting inside his restaurant on Saturday afternoon. "But we were like, 'No, a lot of our Thunder players and fans come in after the game.' So we said no, and then 15 or 20 minutes later they called back.

"And he said, 'Well, I talked to Kevin and he said that the Thunder players could come in if we booked out the restaurant.' And we just said no again, because once again all the Thunder players come in and we don't really want them to be upset. And in the long run, I think we lose business. We just wanted to stay true to our fans and our players and not book out the restaurant for one night."

Osborn is handling things pretty diplomatically, it seems—his move does make sense in a city that has only one pro sports team in town. Seems like KD is going to be eating at an Arby's a couple of towns over tonight—win or lose.
