How Cord Cutters Can Watch WWE WrestleMania for Free

WWE’s way-over-the-top streaming video service is the best way to watch WrestleMania 32 this weekend.

On Sunday, April 3, some 100,000 sports entertainment fans will descend upon AT&T Stadium just outside Dallas, Texas, to see veteran WWE Superstar Triple H defend his WWE World Heavyweight championship against divisive upstart Roman Reigns, and to see the returning Shane McMahon (who's the duplicitous, ungrateful son of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon) face off against The Undertaker, who is dead, for control of Monday Night Raw, World Wrestling Entertainment's flagship television program.

Clearly this is a very, very big deal.

But unlike a decade ago when you and your friends had to shell out upwards of $50 to watch the biggest spectacle in all of entertainment on pay-per-view, nowadays all you need is a broadband connection and an app.

That app is the WWE Network, a streaming video service that includes access to every single live special (like this Sunday's WrestleMania) as well as a library filled with more than 1,000 hours of older content, including epic bouts featuring legends like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and The Rock. The best part about the Network? It's totally free to try for 30 days. That means you can watch all of the action this Sunday without giving Vince McMahon a single dime. Here's how.

1. Sign up for a WWE Network account. Signup is free, but you'll need to supply a valid email address as well as a credit or debit card, or link your PayPal account. You have 30 days after signup to watch for free. The price is $9.99 per month afterwards if you want to stick around past WrestleMania.

2. Download the app. The Network is tucked away inside the main WWE app for Android and iOS, and is also available on major streaming platforms like Roku, Apple TV, and the PS4.

3. Log in and enjoy! The show starts at 7pm ET on Sunday, and is expected to last for a little more than four hours.

So there you have it: a totally free, and totally legit, way to watch WrestleMania this weekend. Of course, if this is too much of a hassle, I'd be shocked if alternative methods of watching the show don't pop up on Reddit come Sunday, but dealing with those sorts of streams can be tricky.

Get excited, fellow members of the WWE Universe!
