Villanova is blowing out Seton Hall and during a scrum for a loose ball late in the game, Ryan Arcidiacono took an absolute blast of an elbow/forearm to the face from Sterling Gibbs. The most generous viewing of this scene would be that Gibbs was trying to violently jar the ball out of Arcidiacono's hands and…really, really missed. You can see in the video before he connects with Arcidiacono's face, he makes an initial flailing swing at the ball.The worst interpretation would be that Gibbs lashed out in frustration and lost his cool. Either way, that probably hurt. Gibbs, for his part, was ejected and Arcidiacono got himself cleaned up.[FS1]
