Unlike Woody Allen, Yasujiro Ozu or Mike Leigh, Michael Winterbottom is not a director to repeat himself. Following on from his Thomas Hardy adaptation Trishna and his last drama Everyday, the British filmmaker has stepped up to a comedy with Steve Coogan, about the life of controversial entrepreneur Paul Raymond, who was at one point Britain's richest man.

A BUNCH OF MEMORABLE BUS SCENES

With the exception of Speed and Michel Gondry's latest Bronx-set, bus-bound The We and the I, we can’t think of any other films that are set almost entirely on a bus (can you?). So instead, to celebrate the Canadian release of Gondry’s outstanding new film, we’ve come up with a bunch of bus scenes that have been playing on a loop like GIFs in our minds ever since we saw the movie. Let's start with Dogma. I bet you've never witnessed anything like this on a bus before; am I right? Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are just a couple of motor-mouth angels conversing about life and playing games like, for example, guessing whether a passenger on the bus is having an affair or not. And what should an angel do if he is? Blow his brains out, of course.
