Cyriak's New Video Will Give You 'Baaa'-d Dreams

You’ll never want to count sheep again.

At this point, when it comes to Cyriak’s trippy videos you pretty much know what you’re in for. He has developed a unique brand of insanity that is instantly recognizable for its strange animated juxtapositions and fractal aesthetics. Which isn’t to say that we still aren’t shocked, visually scarred, and more than a little frightened, by his new video.

In “Baaa” he “experiments with Ovine geometry,” which starts off innocently enough with a little lamb frolicking through a field, intermittently turning its head to stick its tongue out. “Aww, how cute!” you may think. But not for long. In true Cyriak fashion, eventually the sheep’s body expands and sprouts several more heads before transforming into a series of creatures that look progressively less like farm animals and more and more like the twisted demons from our most skin-crawling, bed-wetting nightmares. Heads and legs start popping up all over the place, giving way to a mouth that begins spitting out more multifarious mutations of the creature. At the end of its distended neck, leers a pinwheel of a head that drops amorphous leggy malformed wool balls that look more like something you would find on the bottom of the ocean than grazing the green meadows. It culminates by opening up to what can only be described as a carnivalesque fractal monster factory, a series of spinning parts that apparently produces these ‘sheep’ ad infinitum out of nowhere.

We definitely encourage you to watch it but be forewarned that you’ll likely never want to count sheep again.
