Houston's Brandon Wilson Returns Oklahoma's Failed Field Goal for Glorious 109-Yard TD

If today is any indication of how things might go, then boy howdy, we've got ourselves a helluva season to look forward to.

Alright friends, dust off your expectations from last season; we've got a fresh slate for college football, 2016. And if today is any indication of how things might go, then boy howdy, we've got ourselves a helluva season to look forward to.

Just take a looksee at Houston's Brandon Wilson creating a perfect metaphor for your expectations of this game, as he snags No. 3 Oklahoma's field goal attempt from them, marching the ball down 109 yards for one of the craziest field goal returns (yes, that's a thing) that you'll see in a minute. As of the end of the third quarter, Houston is up 33-17 on Oklahoma.

The game was billed as something of a battle of the quarterbacks, and it hasn't disappointed. Sooner Baker Mayfield went nine-for-nine, 162 yards in the first half, but Greg Ward Jr.—who ESPN's Jonathan Vilma called a better quarterback than Mayfield, noting his athleticism—has been pulling all kinds of wonderful nonsense.

Check out Ward shaking the whole Sooners defense, and tossing the ball up for Linell Bonner III snagged beautifully out of thin air:

Sure, Ward's work has been dazzling. But between Bonner and Wilson? Maybe this game isn't about the quarterbacks at all.
