Rubio Said He'd Probably Be President if He'd Watched 'Game of Thrones'

Maybe studying up on Jon Snow or Tyrion could have given him a better strategy than insulting Trump's "small hands."

While the rest of the world was either binging or pirating HBO's Game of Thrones over the past few years, Florida senator Marco Rubio was apparently too busy listening to EDM, pelting kids with footballs, and trying to become the next president of the United States. Now, apparently, the failed presidential hopeful thinks his lack of Westeros knowledge could have cost him his shot at commander-in-chief.

"If I'd have watched two years ago, I would've been president," Rubio joked Tuesday, according to Haley Byrd of the Independent Journal Review. "It's got a lot of good strategies."

Rubio suspended his campaign after Trump won the senator's home state of Florida in the primaries, but maybe studying up on Jon Snow or Tyrion or whoever could have given him some better battle strategies than lobbing insults at Trump's "small hands."

So if the Oval Office was the Iron Throne in America's Game of Thrones, who might "Little Marco" be? Littlefinger is an obvious choice just based on the similar nickname, but had Rubio actually watched the show, he'd probably start to see more similarities with Theon, with Trump as his tormenting Ramsay.
