New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham answered two key questions Sunday night: Would he finally find the end zone in 2016, and would he find peace with the NFL's most famous inanimate object?

Affirmative on both.

After he scored a fourth-quarter touchdown against the Green Bay Packers that broke a personal four-game scoring drought to start the season, Beckham also made it clear that his relationship with the team's practice kicking net was all right. Rather than spike the football or high-five teammates like a typical player, Beckham ran clear across Lambeau Field to the visitor's sideline for some PDA with his aluminum-and-nylon friend.

Gimme a big smooch, you rascal! Nobody knew where the pair had stood for a couple weeks.

In the short term, Beckham's touchdown (plus the extra point) were as close as the Giants got to the Packers in what was ultimately a 23-16 loss. The long-term prognosis for the team is better now that Beckham has scored, and now that he and the equipment respect each other again.

Two weeks ago, Beckham made national news during a tearful sideline tirade following a Giants turnover against Washington when he swung his helmet at the contraption and it hit hit back:

Ouch! Beckham's temper has been the only thing not to like about him over his first two years in the NFL. He came into play with 25 career touchdowns, and he had a 100-yard game against Washington, but his production this season, otherwise, was a disappointment. And then there was the whole getting owned by the net thing.

One score and hug later, and Beckham seems on a better track in 2016.
