The Two Inho's (Fernand- and Cout-) are Keeping This Capital One Cup Lively

The little -inhos doing big things.

The Capital One Cup final has come down to a suffix, hasn't it? Both Manchester City's Fernandinho and Liverpool's Coutinho (the two inho's, shall we say) brought some A game, and are keeping this one interesting.

For Manchester City's 49th minute goal, seemingly Simon Mignolet had a hole in his defenses the exact size of a ball, because Fernandinho found it and ruthlessly exploited it. But Mignolet made up for his (horrendous, horrendous) foibles by making a dramatic two saves, which allowed for Liverpool's Coutinho to lace this pinballed goal into the back of the net at a clutch 83rd minute.

It's good enough to send them to extra time. (Stay posted for updates.)

UPDATE: The two sides' keepers are displaying some heroics out there today. Mignolet seems to have found some redemption after batting away Aguero's shot with a fingertip or two. Really great stuff.

Mignolet AGAIN! Another HUGE save to deny @MCFC. #CapitalOneCupFinal https://t.co/TxqiHBj4I6

And then there's Manchester City's Willy Caballero who came up with a master class in how to deny someone from point blank range.

POINT BLANK! The tension has gone up a notch, Caballero denies Origi. Still 1-1! #CapitalOneCupFinal https://t.co/DoHKNoWr1L

And you knew it would come down to the keepers, didn't you? We made it to PKs, and both Coutinho and Fernandinho missed theirs. But Yaya Toure took it with a precise shot to the corner that not even Mignolet could bat away. It has to be a rough day for Mognolet, but on the whole, he played valliantly.

GOOOOOOAAAAL!!! @MCFC WIN THE CAPITAL ONE CUP! #CapitalOneCupFinal https://t.co/IHeZvyQ8b9
