Punch in the Stomach TD Celebration: A Hip New Fad, Or Actual Hurty Times? You Decide.

I'd say you should expect the hip young kids to pick this one up like the rest of those fads: water bottle flips, and planking, and the whatnot.

This was hilarious. Byron Pringle returns the kick 99 yards for the TD & his teammate Dominique Heath gives him a punch to the gut! #KState pic.twitter.com/4ZFUzASAL2

Kansas State University wideout Byron Pringle is either a master of deception or has a glass set of abs. Because after a glorious 99-yard punt return for a touchdown against Texas Tech last night, when his teammate Dominique Heath came up to him and socked him in the gut, Pringle crumbled to the ground like a fine powder.

It's kind of hard to tell what actually happened here. Maybe this was the plan all along. Pringle pounding his own stomach in a show of strength, then Heath takes a shot in the same place and he falls down—classic slapstick comedy. Pringle is smiling afterward, and he seems to bounce back just fine. Or, alternately, Heath coulda just hit him straight in the gas balloon, catching Pringle by surprise, and the smile was a 'fuck it; I just scored a touchdown' kind of whatever.

Either way, I'd say you should expect the hip young kids to pick this one up like the rest of those fads: water bottle flips, and planking, and taking a knee during national anthems* and the whatnot.

(*not a fad)
