As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches on a daily basis. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

Despite lazily studying in college how unnecessary and harmful frivolous consumerist products are, I find myself endlessly drawn to the allure of enamel pins and embroidered patches. I myself released 3 new pins and 6 new patches this week, but you’ll have to find them yourself since I don’t have the egoistic gall to include them in my own article.

Thankfully, The Creators Project shares my intrigue and have asked for yet another installment of the Weekly Pin Roundup. Instead of saving money for a retirement home or your inevitable kid's college fund, go spend $20-30 per week on cool stuff from small companies who are actually grateful for your support. As a bonus, you’ll find a special 20% discount code to my shop, Strike Gently Co., at the end of this post.

If there’s anything hipsters drool over it’s knowing about a famous person who secretly knows about stuff that hipsters like, like seeing an obscure photograph of John Goodman wearing a Black Flag shirt. That’s a guaranteed closed-loop marketing extravaganza for niche soft goods. Millennial malaise aside, though, I’ll probably buy one myself. Keep an eye out for these once they restock. They’ve already sold out twice this week…

While you’re browsing Flower Chainz, grab their ramen pin. It goes great with Inner Decay’s ramen patch. There’s something invigorating about having a little tiny metal version of your favorite food pinned to your backpack or jacket or whatever. I honestly don’t know why.

Lopez has created the ultimate Simpsons bootleg product, as chaotic and ridiculous as it is pleasing to the eye. Part of it also glows in the dark. This is less something you wear than display on your wall. I have a corkboard that’s like a mini-museum, reverberating my mantra for these posts and the reason I love pins so much: they’re the cheapest and most interesting art objects you can buy.

Slack & Mellow

Our new Partners in Crime pin set is now available in our online shop!

I’ve seen plenty of bootlegs from expected Cool Cartoons: Spongebob, The Simpsons, Adventure Time, etc, but never any Rocky & Bullwinkle ripoffs. If you’re gonna spend your parents money buying stuff on the internet, you might as well buy stuff that they recognize. Not to mention these just generally look classy, reminiscent of Supreme’s Betty Boop and Mad Cat pins.

Joe E Propa commodifies objects of my childhood in a way that I don’t even have the honesty to do: Choco Tacos, Palm Pilots, Skip-proof Walkmen, and Ringmaster toys. He turns these iconic “only 90’s kids” items into simple but effective pin designs, as goofy as they are nostalgic.
