"Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets Arcade Fire meets a graveyard" isn't a genre yet, but Frederick the Younger might have the market cornered in this regard. The Louisville, Kentucky band is raging, racing sunshine rock that mixes ambient but serious rock guitar chords, while Jenni Cochran's Karen O-like wailing vocals add a haunting, detached feel to each song. The self-declared "sunshine rockers" have kindly allowed us to stream their gorgeous new record Human Child below. Turn on, tune in, and drop out, as the kids say. Human Child drops on Feb 3.
