LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena on MLS's rapid expansion: "we need to slow down a little bit."

Yaya Toure is running scared because of Pep Guardiola's probable move to Manchester City this summer. Pep sold Yaya to City back when Pep managed Barcelona. Toure apparently sees the writing on the wall and is looking for other opportunities.

One-time laughingstock and terrible defender Nacho Monreal has signed a new contract with Arsenal. He is now a very, very good player, so this makes sense.

Jorge Sampaoli, the extremely successful head coach of Chile, has resigned. He had recently said he wanted to resign but couldn't afford to pay the early release clause in his contract. (Link in Spanish)

Cristiano Ronaldo apparently had to translate for Messi and Neymar during the Ballon d'Or ceremony. No word on what his fee was.

This tennis match-fixing scandal continues to heat up. An unnamed South American retired pro called it an "open secret" in a BBC interview.
