An enterprising fan got J.R. Smith to sign an actual pipe.

It's really wonderful that the city of Cleveland has finally snapped its decades-long losing streak and can officially call itself A Winner. But the single greatest outcome of the win has been the emergence of J.R. Smith, who is just out here L-I-V-I-N. He was the star of the immediate post-game celebrations, and that continued on to the victory parade through Cleveland, where he just walked around looking like he never changed out of his uniform since leaving the visiting locker room in Oracle Arena, and it continues to get better.

One fan went to a J.R. autograph signing session, but instead of bringing a jersey or a hat, or some other useless bit of memorabilia, this dude brought a foot of PVC pipe for J.R. to sign. You'll recall that back in 2013 a female fan slid into J.R.'s DMs on Twitter and unwittingly walked into a pick-up line for the ages. She informed J.R. that she was going to the game, to which he responded, "Dope." Then she replied with a smiling emoji, to which he responded, "Oh really." The woman, confused probably, messaged back "Oh really what?" with a side eye emoji and here's where things took a turn: out of nowhere, an hour and half later J.R. responds "You trying to get the pipe?"

A legend was born that day, and then cemented this week.
