One-Handed Catch Gives West Virginia Lead over Baylor

Baylor is officially on upset alert after West Virginia scores two touchdowns on consecutive drives.

This Baylor-West Virginia game has been a tense back-and-forth affair, alternating between offensive highlight reel and bruising slugfest. The Mountaineers took a 34-27 lead early in the fourth quarter on a 42-yard pass from Clint Trickett to Andrew Buie, followed by a 12-yard touchdown pass to Kevin White. Buie took a huge hit, not unlike the hit that forced Terrell Chestnut out of the game, but popped up immediately. Two plays later, Trickett put just enough loft on the touchdown ball and white made a great one-handed grab to haul it in.

West Virginia then officially put Baylor on upset alert with a 39-yard touchdown from Trickett to Mario Alford. Baylor had to punt on the drive following the White touchdown and West Virginia took the ball right back and rattled off a nine-play 78-yard drive that ended with Alford scorching through the Baylor defense for a 41-27 lead with under eight minutes to go.
