For those who like a little prog in their punk, check out the latest Dull Tools signee Heaven's Gate. "Sally Says" is a grim yet sophisticated update of Lou Reed's downtown lullaby, "Candy Says." The Brooklyn post-punk quinetet consists of a social worker, editor, law student, designer, and technician, so their intellectual edge comes as no surprise. The gritty Super-8 video for "Sally Says" edited by the band's vocalist Jes Paps feels timeless, as if spliced from Warhol factory footage the Blair Witch Project. Let's just say whoever this Candy is has got nothing on Sally. Watch the video below and download the album here when it drops via Dull Tools later this summer.
