DJ BOg shares his soundtracks for life

Time to reveal which tracks BOg has picked out for our 'Soundtracks for Life' series. Turn up the volume!

After becoming inspired by the work of Sasha and John Digweed over ten years ago, Romanian artist and DJ BOg set out on his very own journey as a music producer. Over the past two years, he has emerged onto the international electronic music scene and is becoming an increasingly recognisable name within the industry.

In 2014, BOg was crowned winner of Burn Residency Romania. He then went on to become one of the finalists in the Ibiza competition that followed, landing a residency at Café Mambo and gigs at prestigious clubs including Sankeys, Ushuaia and Privilege as a result. He has also played at the world-renowned Sunwaves Festival and Romania's Kudos Beach.

With a style ranging between techno and deep, combining some space influences, BOg's ascent on the international house scene has been based on substance rather than hype. At 24 years old, he became the youngest ever DJ ever to be invited to play on John Digweed's legendary Transitions radio show, while he also released an EP on Bedrock Records, Digweed's own label, earlier this year. As if that wasn't impressive enough, BOg has also had tracks released on a number of other respected labels including Crosstown Rebels, Akbal Music and Fumakilla.

The wake up song: King Unique - Brake Pads

This is without a doubt one of my favourite songs to wake up to. It's a very atmospheric and cosmic track. Speaking from personal experience, since I'm not the best when it comes to waking up, I think this is the perfect track for those who like to take it slow and enjoy their morning coffee.

The last song you listen to before leaving the house to go out: Thugfucker - Disco Gnome (Tale Of Us Remix)

This song is a warming up monster! Trust me, if you want to start the night right and get in the mood for a party, just listen to this. There's nothing much to say about it, you just need to listen to it and you'll understand what I'm saying.

The song that gets the crowd going: Guy J - Lamur (Henry Saiz Remix)

I think most of you will already know this classic Bedrock tune. I think it's one of those tracks that will never die, and it's always the right time to play it. If you're on the dance floor and you hear this track playing, get your spacesuit ON boy because you're going to go on the trip of your lifetime through the galaxy!

The sports soundtrack: Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up

Surprised? Not really I suppose! This is my favourite track to go running to. Beware of a heart attack when listening to it whilst running though, it really makes your blood pressure go higher, higher and higher!

The first song in your DJ career: Chiapet - Westworld (Skylark Remix)

The first time I heard this I was in my old town in Romania where my older friends were throwing really great underground parties in an abandoned communist prison. What a track!
