Jonathan Quick's Unbelievable Stick Save Is Stop of the Year

You won't see a better save this season.

You don't see saves like this every night. Logan Couture, a gifted scorer who had netted 20-plus in five straight years coming into this season, figured he had a gimme. But a quick reaction and remarkable save by the Kings' goaltender kept the score tied at 2 going into the third. You won't see a better save this season. But it was all downhill from there.

The save was the highlight of Quick and Los Angeles' night, as San Jose erupted in the final period, scoring three times to drop the division-rival Kings, 5-2. San Jose secured a playoff berth with the victory, marking the 11th time in 12 seasons the Sharks are headed to the postseason.

That gives the Pacific Division three California playoff teams, with the Ducks and Kings having already clinched spots. At their best, this top three is scary good.
