Watch The Go-Betweens, Mac Demarco and Jack Black Discuss the Legacy of Kirin J Callinan

"Very exciting, and very... Goosebumpy. If that is a word that I can use..." — Mac Demarco.

Kirin J Callinan is a national goddamn treasure. A man of talent, of humour. Intelligence, calm, and of course, a maddeningly powerful sexual allure. But that's all part of a longer piece I'm working on.

Today, we're here to talk about "Off the Record," the video Kirin posted to Facebook this morning, which could probably best be described as a beautifully moving piss take, or a collaborative clusterfuck of weird and good times.

The video features a semi-fictional Callinan being remembered for his semi-fictional hit "Tellin' Me This"—frankly, a truly beautiful song that I would like to hear more of—by friends and peers such as Mark Ronson, Weyes Blood, Client Liaison, Mac Demarco, Jay Watson, Jack Black, Boys Like Girls' Martin Johnson, and EMI's John O'Donnell.

Watch it below, and fall even deeper in love with Australia's most ripped alternative rock musician.

Beautiful.
