Five Life-Changing Things We Learned from M.I.A's "Double Bubble Trouble" Video

Mouth jails and pitbull body mod.

Since her first introduction to the music world, M.I.A's video have brought music-video-making to new levels of political significance and meaning. There was the redhead genocide of "Born Free," dirty Moroccan joy riding in "Bad Girls" and, of course, the hustlers world of "Paper Planes." Two standout tracks on her fourth and most recent album, Mantangi, were produced by Dutch duo The Partysquad. Like previous single "Y.A.L.A.," its successor "Double Bubble Trouble" shines with its dirty Dutch bang bang.

Here's what we learned from M.I.A's latest sef-directed video "Double Bubble Trouble":

GOVERNMENTS WANT TO LIMIT YOUR FREEDOMS A Danish company called Create it REAL has created software that will prevent you from manufacturing firearms using your 3D printer. This pissed off a lot of libertarians who are just trying to protect their family—and are totally not trying start an ultranationalist, anti-immigrant militia.

PIT BULLS ARE INTO BODY MODIFICATION. This seems to be the dog version of a gage. The only thing worse than puttin in a gage, is taking one out…

GRILLZ CAN BE A POLITICAL STATEMENT TOO. Like these DBT Censorship Grillz designed by M.I.A herself and made by British grillmaster Dolly Cohen. It's mouth jail for those who refuse to speak with power.

FACE-COVERING BURQA'S ARE BANNED IN HOLLAND AND FRANCE.  Maybe if relgious women wore these smiling white girl scarves to cover the bottom halves of their faces things would be different?

TUMBLR DOESN'T HAVE SHIT ON M.I.A. Less political, still noteworthy. It's like the internet would only be half as fun without her.
