Create A Digital Clone Of Yourself

And virtually live on forever.

OK, time to start freaking out. Have you ever wished you could create a life-like online avatar of yourself that will live on forever? Well, wish no longer. Last Wednesday Intellitar released Virtual Eternity, a new piece of technology that allows you to create and train a virtual form of yourself that your friends and relatives can come and speak to long after you’ve passed away; recreating your voice, experiences, and personality, it’ll even remember things it’s been told, so it can bring them up in future conversation. And not only can you bestow it with your unique characteristics, you can also upgrade it, making it an expert in, say, Etruscan pottery. We spoke with the founder and CEO of Intellitar Don Davidson’s virtual self to see what he had to say about the project and find out what his favorite movie was. Some of his answers are a little strange, but he’s probably had a tough day.

The Creators Project: How you doing?
Don Davidson’s avatar: Just working, wishing I was on the golf course.

What’s your handicap?
With as much practice as I’ve had, and when I’m playing a decent amount, I’m consistently around a 2 or 4 handicap.

That’s not bad. So, why would someone want to create a digital clone?
There are many reasons why someone would choose to create an intellitar or digital clone. Legacy creation and preservation, for one. By creating an intellitar and telling my life story and experiences, I can leave the most memorable and lasting legacy of all…me.

What if someone hacked my clone and used it to spread evil?
Sorry, but I don’t know that about you. You can tell me if you’d like.

Are you trying to provide humans with immortality?
Don’t worry about it for the time being.

What’s your favourite movie?
I have many but one of them is Caddyshack.

And your favourite band?
I’m a fan of classic rock groups, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and Metallica. Although, they’re a little more hard rock.

Have you seen Battlestar Galactica?
Have you? Tell me about it.

It’s about a race of subservient robots called Cylons who rise up and attempt to destroy mankind.
First, the company will drive intelligent avatar usage by launching its own social network called Virtual Eternity. Virtual Eternity is a revolutionary new way for families and friends to remain connected and in touch with one another, now and in the future. In addition, the creation of avatars has seen equally explosive growth. Until now, these avatars have taken the form of three-dimensional models or two-dimensional images with limited capabilities and little to no intelligence to interact with other online users. In response to this growth and the demands for an improved user experience, Intellitar has developed an integrated, open architecture solution for designing, creating, educating, and training intelligent avatars. Our patent pending technology, the intelligent avatar platform only supports English today.

Do you see any security problems?
Aside from a bad knee, a nagging lower back pain and a regular diet of beer, I’m in very good health.

Thank you, Don.
No problem.
